Note: Exemption of Visa Fee for a child is applicable only in the case of Short Term category, if the child's age is less than 6 years at the date of submission.

BLS International Service charge

Applicants applying at the Spanish visa application Centre shall be levied a service charge of 117 CNY payable in cash. Children under 6 are exempted from service charge.

Please note:

• The applicable Visa Fee in Chinese Yuan is as per the current exchange rate. It is subject to change without notice
• The fee is non-refundable

Documents Required

Guangzhou VAC

Since April 15, there will have new requirements about the kinship of minor applicants and travel insurance. Please prepare your documents according to the new Checklist. Thank you.

There are 2 major changes in the updated checklists as following:

1. Specified the required documents of minors.

• The relationship or birth notarized matters certified by foreign affairs.
• The original and copy of the birth certificate.

2. About the term of validity of travel insurance.

- Cancel "Travel insurance must cover at least 15 more days from the planned date of departure from the Schengen area.

According to the instructions of General Consulate of Spain in Guangzhou, the visa application of underage applicant must be submitted by one of his/her parents, and his/her passport must be collected by one of his/her parents. Otherwise, the parents of the underage applicant must provide a notary certificate of entrustment (including English or Spanish translation), and entrust the designated agent to submit the application and obtain the passport for the underage applicant.

Medical insurance for individual or collective travel, covering all expenses incurred during your stay in the Schengen territory, which could result in your medical care and repatriation associated with a sudden accident or illness, whose minimum coverage is 30,000 Euros or its equivalent in RMB. Travel insurance must cover at least 15 more days from the planned date of departure from the Schengen area.

Consulate General of Spain, Shanghái may require additional information about the applicant in the application form. Consulate will call the applicant if Required for point no. 17 and 20 of the visa application form. If applicant did not answer or attend the call of Consulate. Its hall be deemed that the applicant has ceased the visa application.

The Consulate General of Spain in Shanghai warns visa applicants that all documentation presented will be thoroughly and carefully reviewed. Any false or inaccurate declaration, information or document, as well as any non-existent or canceled hotel or flight reservation, will automatically render their whole application invalid and, consequently, their visas will be refused.

GET YOUR PHOTO AS PER STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS BY USING OUR QUICK PHOTO SERVICE AT THE VISA CENTER ITSELF.

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:

• Taken against a light background (white or off-white) so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
• Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
• Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
• Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
• Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.
